Lauren Keating has an equal passion for both reporting and writing.
She specializes in health, nutrition, and fitness reporting. She has closely worked alongside health professionals for projects for print, online, and radio broadcasts. Lauren graduated with a B.A. in journalism and a concentration in health from Brooklyn College. She has since been writing professionally for seven years, working for Fit Nation Magazine, Tech Times, RunnersClick, and more.
She serves as the head writer of sports nutrition company Kramp Krusher.
She has a love for running, finishing seven half-marathons and a handful of other races including 5ks, 10ks, a 15k, a marathon relay and obstacle races like the Spartan Race.
Lauren is currently studying to become a certified personal training, with the goal of focusing on youth fitness. She volunteered as a running coach for Girls on the Run spring 2019.
Her greatest accomplishments are her children. She encourages a healthy lifestyle within her family and is often seen running with the jogging stroller.
As a journalist, she aspires to make an impact on the world and tell stories along the way. As an everyday woman balancing a career and family, while aiming to live a healthy lifestyle, she aspires to share tips and help motivate others to reach their health and fitness goals.
Lauren published her first children’s book, “Ready, Set, Run!” fall 2019.
She is currently working on a running book that serves as a beginners guide to running that includes her experiences, as well those from other every day runners, professional runners, running coaches, nutritionist and more.
