Allure Beauty Box Review From A First Time Subscriber

Allure sent out its Beauty Box for January filled with full-size make-up products including the Anastasia Moonchild Glow Kit.

This is my first time subscribing to this monthly subscription box, so I am excited to both use the products and reveal the pros and cons of Allure’s offerings.

I decided to join this subscription service after seeing a deal. Over the holidays that offered the box for just $10 a month. This offer also included a coupon for a free Hot Tools 24K Gold One-Step Pro Blowout Styler—which I just received and can’t wait for it to be shipped.

What Is Allure Beauty Box?

Created by the magazine, Allure’s monthly box includes at least two full-size products and sample or mini-sized items in every box. These products are selected by Allure’s editorial experts to bring the best of the best.

The box also. Comes with a mini magazine that features tups and step-by-steps. Based on the products.

The Allure Beauty Box is $15 per month or $165 per year, which. Includes 25 products valued over $254 for free when signing up for the entire year.

This Month’s Box

I thought that this was January’s box, but according to the website this month’s box features different products. So I will assume the box I just received was Decembers.

Here is what’s inside:

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
  • First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer or First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer
  • Mini Make Up Eraser
  • Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray or Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt

Best Thing In The Box

This hands down is the Moonchild Glow Kit. I’ve had my eyes set on this glow kit for a long time, but never purchased it because I wasn’t sure about how often I would really use these colors as a highlighter.

But the colors are drop dead gorgeous. Beauty reporter. Devon Abelman reports that the purples and blues serve as a brightener better than typically rose gold and white colors we see in glow kits.

This beauty box is worth its price just for this glow kit alone.

Runner Up

Plus you also get a full lipstick, and this color is a gorgeous deep plum—perfect for the winter.

But my second favorite thing in this box is actually a toe between the Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray and the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer.

The Ouai texturizing spray is simply amazing. I use it when doing beachy waves and it doesn’t make my hair stiff and smells great.

The moisturizer is awesome because you can wear it as a primer under makeup or by itself. It’s not greasy or oily and does a great job at hydrating.

Why Get This Box?

I tend to be a sucker for a subscription box, but I tend to unsubscribe after awhile. But this is my first beauty box, and I am so happy I decided to get it.

I love makeup and hair products but often talk myself out of spending money on products. This allows me to try products or get full-size beauty products that I love or want without shelling out retail for it it.

Plus, who doesn’t love a little mail for themselves each month that isn’t bills?

I will continue to review the Allure Beauty Box each month to showcase the best product.
